Job Description -
SharePoint Administrator
We are looking for a SharePoint Administrator to add to our SharePoint Practice. This individual will be responsible for supporting global corporate internet, intranet, and extranet sites. They may also be asked to assist in support of internal and external web-based applications. The Administrator’s daily responsibilities will be to support and maintain applications based on SPS 2003 and SharePoint (MOSS) 2007.

Responsibilities
- Supporting corporate Internet, Intranet, and Extranet sites built on SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint (MOSS) 2007
- Enhancing, maintaining, and migrating existing SPS 2003 and team sites to MOSS 2007
- Providing SharePoint training to individuals or groups
- Managing system security
- System patching and upgrades
- Performing initial installation and configuration of SharePoint
- Deploying custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages
- Backup and restore
- Integrating SharePoint with Active Directory
- Configuring SharePoint services and settings
- Documenting SharePoint configuration and architecture
- Managing site quotas and file size limits
- Reviewing and monitoring usage reports
- Integrating both custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages
- Managing content databases and creating new ones as required
- Administering and maintaining sites and sub-sites
- Managing security for sites and sub-sites
- Managing the site layout structure and content
Qualifications
- 2+ years of SharePoint experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- MCP/MCTS SharePoint is a plus
Technical Requirements
- Must have experience in architecture, design, and deployment of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS 2007).
- The Architect must have experience in leading a Sharepoint Implementation Team.
Terms
Pay rate: Negotiable
Location: Minneapolis. Local travel required.
